Things to do near Porth Eilian beach

Things to do on the All Wales Path near Porth Eilian beach.

On rounding the north east corner of the Isle of Anglesey, while walking the All Wales Path, it is well worth a short detour to the promontory of Point Lynas.

The Point is renowned as a great viewpoint for marine life spotting. Dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks and even the odd whale have been sighted from Point Lynas.

The beach at Porth Eilian is popular as a launch point for sea kayaks and canoes.

For those with an interest in religion, history or heritage I would also highly recommend a short diversion to the old church of St Eilians in the nearby village of Llaneilian.
